MOOOOOOOOHAWK MAAAAATT!
What a totally cool website and barber shop.
Next time I am near the West Coast, I’m renting a Harley and coming out to get a cut from your beasts.
Congratulations on a fantastic shop.
Hello,
I think the Cal Polies (San Luis Obispo and Pomona) Rose Parade floats were inspired by the bolt mascot/logo. Below are a couple of links. Monkeys giving cuts. Great float!

See you guys in a couple of weeks for my cut.
Matt clearly gets it, this place is outstanding! The interior is a well executed mix of old school barbershop and manly upscale salon in a historic Downtown Los Angeles mid-rise building. It feels like it has been there forever but still has a shiny newness.
I was there one minute and Matt made me feel like I was a long time customer. The other patrons seemed to have the same experience. They were hanging out, playing table shuffleboard and “BSâ€ing after their turn in the chair.
Shane did my hair, a simple 3-1/2 shear. One would think this quick in-and-out buzz cut. This guy is REAL barber. Yeah the buzz only took a few minutes but he spent time lining up the neck, and sideburns, I think he even used a straight razor to do it just right.
There is nothing I don’t like bout this place! I gotta go back and get the straight razor shave. I had a great experience, nice conversation and got a perfect haircut.
Hey – get biz, name, website, slogan, etc.
You should put your best picture of your business on your home page…the one that’s on your About Us page. It shows your name, logo and SSS slogan.
Congrats on getting off the corporate treadmill. I LOVE your business model!!!
I’m another corporate escapee….Yippee for us!
best of luck to you, Matt on your new venture – great to hear that things are going great for you
Hi Matt,
You rock…

Call it a pre-opening experience… but I received a shave and a haircut from Mohawk Matt (the owner and Master Chief Barber) as a test drive. I sat in his chair and, essentially, volunteered to receive whatever shave and cut he thought most appropriate. He asked of my circumstances and because I am in between jobs, he settled on his signature double-tapered mohawk (!!!) with matching angular facial hair. His straight-razor is as steady as his clippers. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I must admit, I was pretty damn impressed. I have been receiving compliments all week. It was a relaxing experience and one that I would definitely repeat. His location will be in the trendy part of downtown, and a perfect spot to hang and chill. Bolt will not be the barber shop of your grandpa. Guys, this is the hangout you have been waiting for, so grab your buddies and get ready for it. Five stars.
Hey, great site and shop. Every city should have a Bolt Barbers!!! Mohawks rock.
